View Full Version : A Sordid Past

08-17-2005, 04:13 AM
Quick description: Tattianna is a young night elf. She is about equivalent to a 28 year old in human terms. She comes from Teldrassil, which of course is quite common among most night elves... more specifically Starbreeze Village. Light purple skin, dark purple hair.
Nickname: Tatts
Class: Rogue

A Sordid Past...
Tattianna was very close to her father, Sven. He was a kind and gentle man of few words. Often the two of them would be found near the moonwell of StarBreeze Village swimming in the summer sun. He loved his daughter dearly, but it always seemed that something was missing in his eyes... a void. Though his love beat strong for his little Tatts, something always seemed to take him away to another world when they would play. It was when he looked at her, her eyes remined him of something distant and his mind would wander.

It all started in her younger years.... Tattianna learned the ways of a rogue. Her father started her out with sneaking past squirrels and rabbits. He taught her how to vanish from sight with flash powder. He showed her how to use the shadows to her advantage, meld into the darkness. He then began her training down at the murlocs. Slowly they would creep through the water, carefully watching each step. The murlocs, while dangerous, weren't the brightest of foes, making them easy targets. Soon, he would be teaching her how to pickpocket.

Tattianna's mother, Vashti, was... cold would be the wrong word... it was more as though she felt indifferent towards Tattianna. Tatts never felt the deep connection with her as she did her father. She wasn't unkind towards Tattianna, she simply never held a motherly bond with her daughter. Vashti always felt rather distant, not wanting to get too involved with Tattianna's childhood. All the more this solidified Tatt's relationship with her father.

Sven worked for SI:7. His job was to infiltrate the syndicate's bases and eavesdrop on their conversations. He was an information gatherer. He was the most crafty of rogues, never getting caught. One day, during the coldest of winters, Sven was sent deep into the Arathi mountains. He was to gather information on a raid the syndicate were planning on Southshore the next month. Supposedly it wasn't a very dangerous quest. After packing his warmest wool jacket, he bent over and kissed Tatts on the forehead.

He would never return from that mission.

Though a search and rescue party was put together, Sven was never found. SI:7's official story? They disavow all knowledge of his existence, he never worked for them. SI:7 gave Vashti a rather large sum of money to take care of her and her child. They called this the “widow fund“. Vashti and Tattianna moved into a more spacious house, high above Starbreeze. A house never felt so empty.

The “widow fund“ for lost rouges of SI:7 was always quite vast. Tattianna and her mother lived an exotic lifestyle for the next few years. This of course, never gave a daddy back to sad young elf.

Oh how she missed pappa.

Tattianna's relationship with her mother slowly began to fade away. To escape home, Tattianna would often go down to the Murloc camp to practice her pick-pocketing skills. This was the one way she felt close to her father. This was the one thing she was good at.

Slowly Tattianna withdrew from the rest of her friends and family. Thoughts of her beloved daddy would fill her mind through the long school days. Tattianna's only refuge was found in her rogue training. It was the only thing she truly enjoyed.

Vashti passed away shortly after the dissapearance of Sven. “Heart Failure” they called it. Tatts felt very little emotion to her passing. Soon after, the elders of Starbreeze Village came to gather her belongings and take Tattianna to an orphanage. She would have nothing to do with that... she easily slipped out late one night, sneaking past the head mistress and into the woods....taking with her the “widow fund.“

She was going to live the life of her father... a crafty rogue.

A Fresh Breath of New Life...
Years later Tattianna is now herself working for the Syndicate. She has been sent to investigate a very shady character holed up in the Stockades of Stormwind City. She has craftily snuck past the prisoners guarding the entryway.

Crash! Slash! Bam!

Noises startle her as she spins around to see... Ulas! Ulas is an old rogue friend of hers. Her and Ulas have a long history of tossing down expensive Dwarven mead in IronForge. Here he is now, making his grand entrance... but why the loud sounds of battle? He usually sticks to himself, sneaking in the shadows. Typically a quiet one he is.

Tatts now sees what is causing all the rucuss. A large bear is mauling one of the prisoners against a wall... heh, no escape for him. Arms being torn limb from limb. Blood splattering on the wall. Tattianna begins to wonder, “Has Ulas gotten himself a new pet?“

As the bear finishes off the man, it backs off and has a seat next to Ulas. A puff of cloud forms around the large warbear. Out of the puff of smoke a very slender attractive figure enters the hallway. As this feminine figure steps forth into the flickering torch-light Tatts gasps.... it is as though she is looking into a mirror! This girl is the spitting image of Tattianna. What kind of magick is this!??!?!??

Ulas steps forward, and proudly states, “Tatts! I'd like you to meet your long lost twin sister!” Tattianna's breath is taken away.... shock... bewilderment... she has no idea what to say next. A twin sister? But how? This can't be! She grew up a single child... never having anyone to share her secrets with. No... no, this can't be right.

Over the next several hours both Ulas, and Tatt's “newly found” sister, Leanansidhe she called herself, would discuss their past over drinks at the Gilded Rose. As the story unfolds Tattianna begins to learn of her true past. It seems that Vashti was not her true mother, this being no shock to Tatts at all. Sven and Tattianna's true mother, Evanasidhe, split up when the girls were born. Each taking one of the daughters with them, never revealing the existence of the other girl to their children.

The two girls grew up in different towns, by different mothers, totally unaware of each other. Upon their mother's death, their true mother who raised Leanansidhe, she told Leanan of her long lost sister. From that day forth Leanansidhe made a pact to find her sister. She would go from tavern to tavern, questioning various rogues... asking where might Tattianna the rogue of StarBreeze Village be found. She would bribe SI:7 agents for information.

==================== ****Flash Back****=============================

Leanan came into the tavern in duskwood late one night when Ulas saw her come in. Mistakenly he thought she was Tattianna, and subsequently bought her a drink.....

Ulas always had a thing for Tattianna's exotic look. Here she strolls in (or so it would seem) talking to various patrons wtihout even looking in his direction. He motions for her to come have a seat and says, “hey beautiful, what can I get for you?” Soon they are drinking and talking, him flirting all along. When he calls her Tattianna, Leanansidhe's eyes light up. She starts drilling him with questions about her sister. Of course, Ulas thinks this all to be a joke and says, “Tatts, stop playing around! I know its you!”

Leanansidhe then morphs into a panther and bites him on the leg. Realizing this is no rogue, Ulas leaps from the table and is instantly confused..... not to mention in a great deal of pain. After a long conversation, and Leanan explains to Ulas her past... and her missing identical twin, Ulas vows to help find her sister. Knowing Tattianna had recently received orders to investigate the Stockades, they now have their first tip in finding her.

====================***End Flash Back***=============================

Now that the girls are reunited, they have discovered new best friends within each other. A new soul to confide within.

It seems the girls have a new quest in their life... they have heard from a syndicate informant that Sven, their father, remains alive....
