Why

I was Running through stormwind, hurrying to the griffin post, for one of my Many Journeys to god knows where. When I came upon a little child, no more than 10. I stopped asking her if she was lost. She looked at me and asked me where I was off to in such a Hurry, I stammered out that I was heading off to some place dangerous. "Why" she asked. Well the first thought that came to mind I said. "Well for money and Recogonition" I stated my Chest rising a little. "Whats so good about that?" she looked at me. "well, in order to do anything in this world, you of course need gold" Why? she said looking at me. I do lots of things and i don't need gold, Silver, or any of those fancy things I see the people walking around with. I looked at her, anger started to rise up in me. Of course you wouldn't understand your a child. I felt better after that comment. put the child in her place. I started to walk away, She turned and faced me and asked Why do you do these things. I stopped and turned back to the child, an angry Retort on my lips, I stopped. I looked at her, and said. Do you like playing games, do you like to go to the park, and pay in the trees with your friends, with out a care in the world?. She looked at me for a moment, "yes". Well I Do what I do, my Friends and I put ourselves in danger everyday so that you can do those things. The child looked at me with a smile on her face. Oh I see Thank you, she turned and walked away. I proceeded to turn around an head to the griffin I was late. When I heard a voice. Remember what you said Raystlin. you do this for others and not for yourself. So when times are tough, things get Hard remember the little girl that asked why.
