The Alchemy mount Vial of the Sands is no longer Bind-on-Pickup

This was hot fixed on Dec 14th. Is anyone close to being able to make this yet? I am going to start gathering the necessary mats.

I dont think anyone even can make it yet. To my knowledge, it requires you to skill up archaeology to max, or close to max, and dig around Uldum for a chance to get it.

Edit: Just checked wowhead and indeed you need to be max skill archaeologist to even have a chance at finding the recipe. From what ive heard, you need to be digging in uldum to have a chance at some item dropping from archaeology surveying (I blieve it is a Kenopic Jar), which then has a chance to drop this recipe.

I dunno if any of you have tried archaeology, but what this means is that if you are trying to get this recipe...youve got a very, very, VERY long journey ahead of you.

Im willing to bet alot of people will give up on it and wait until blizz makes it trainable(or atleast easier to get), which will mean alchemists that DO have it will prolly charge quite abit just to make it.

That 30k pricetag of vendor mats will end up being a whole hell of alot more when all is said and done. =P

I am 4 transmutes away from having enough true gold, minus procs. I intend to sell extras to afford the npc mats. I am 211 arch skill. its easy to find the item, lots already have on other servers. requires 450 skill, not max.

I hope to have everything but the vendor mats within the week.

I've been told that this has a 7 day cooldown per craft.

Can anyone confirm this?

This was one of the recent comments on wowhead and I wouldn't be surprised if it were true. I'll try and ramp up my arch skill so I can get this sooner than later if others can use the mount too. I know we have a few mount collectors in our midst =P
